Sewer Service Charges Rates are based the cost of collecting, transporting, and treating wastewater from homes and businesses within our service area. Our service rate also include costs to replace aging infrastructure. Our rate is based on Equivalent Single-Family Residence , or ESFRs, which is equal to the typical water use in a single-family home. For property owners, fees are collected through property tax bills twice a year or billed manualy if you are outside Fresno county.
Capacity Fees and Miscellaneous
Capacity fees are charged to developers and individuals when connecting to the sewer system. The cost of future facilities is paid for by developers through the capacity fees.
